Christmas Trends I Love 2026

I always love to do a deep dive into trends in the lead up to a seasonal display period and Christmas is definitely a favourite for this! We can see the trends from interiors, events and materials from the years before emerging and layering onto the classic and traditional Christmas display symbols and themes. After 29 years in the visual merchandising industry, it still amazes me how new combinations of styles translate to another year.

I have always loved to utilise Pinterest to research trends and this year I thought I would have a play with their collage option. I like this as you can still see whose images have been used and look further into them. Something that is increasingly hard to do in the age of AI.

So here are the Christmas trends that I love for 2026!

Bedazzled Christmas

Bling, ornamentation and of course bedazzling are going to be big for Christmas 26/27. Layering onto the retro, vintage ornaments and decorations that we have seen over the last few years. I am here for the colour, vibe and flashbacks to a Christmas tree and decorations that doesn’t take itself too seriously!

Tulle Christmas

Some of these examples are possibly more for editorial spaces but tulle is definitely making a comeback and can be used in a range of ways. The AI trees have been around for a few years, but the ethereal quality of the more natural tulle covered trees does have a certain magical vibe, especially when combined with fairy lights. It can also include colour of course but I got a bit carried away with this white tulle aesthetic!

Chrome Christmas

Chrome and stainless steel is becoming a huge trend in interiors and so it is only natural that it has been entering the Christmas zeitgeist. With metallic drapery, chrome baubles and disco ball finishes in an array of festive applications.

Ivory Satin Christmas

This trend of ivory satin in Christmas theming is dreamy and definitely wedding-coded.

Bows, drapery and ribbons galore. This ties in with the drapery trend and somehow creases just make this feel more real. It pairs beautifully with Fir / real-look Christmas trees and with fairy lights of course.

A Witchy Christmas

I included orange decorations in last years Christmas trends but am seeing these coming through in a big way. I think the hand made nature of this whimsical forrest style is having a moment. I named this Witchy Christmas because of its' moody nature, with cinnamon sticks, candles and pine cones which gives me a Practical Magic vibe.

Of course there are still the classics Christmas themes which I also love but I can’t wait to see these in this years displays!

Until Next Time,
